DEPOLARIS

one story, every lens

About Depolaris

Depolaris exists to reduce political polarisation in India — not by telling you what to think, but by showing you how the same story is framed across the spectrum, where coverage actually agrees, and what questions are worth asking yourself before deciding.

Depolaris is an analysis platform. India's newsrooms do the reporting; our work begins where theirs ends. We read coverage across outlets, languages, regions, and mediums — the press and, increasingly, video — more of it than any one person could — and assimilate it into something no single outlet provides: a framing compass showing how each publication tells the story, tone indicators, bridge points where sources actually agree, and a short questionnaire to take with you. Every source is linked, every original credited; the reporting is theirs, the analysis is ours, and the judgment is yours.

We make money from subscriptions only. No advertising, no engagement optimisation, no sale of reader data — polarisation is profitable for platforms built on attention, which is precisely why we aren't one.

Depolaris is currently built and edited by a single founder with AI-assisted tooling and a published methodology. It is young, imperfect, and improving in public. Read how the compass works.
